Sony CDP-208ESD any good?

I have option to buy one for $40. Worth it? How is the 8x sampling 18bit?

Looked for some reviews didn't find much, not even a internal pic, so sad .

I had a denon dvd player 2800 thats on it last leg. How would it compare do you think?

It sounds like it's an ES unit, right? Never heard anything bad about Sony ES stuff before.

Looks exactly like a CDP-970. Being an ES, it likely has variable output which can drive amps directly.

I have bought tested and flipped a number of them and they sound fine and hold up well. Good choice.

I agree. One of the best Sony CD players I've ever heard. Why? Can't be sure, but a smooth, detailed, balanced output from rca and optical outputs (no coax).
