Hi, I just picked up a Sony CDP-520ES from Ebay for 10 bucks. It's a single disk player that I'm adding to my CD player collection. So far I have a CDP-C15ES 10 disc cartridge player and a CDP-C75ES 5 disc carousel player.
I know that the 520ES is about 5 years older (1985) compared to the other 2 players but will it still sound good? Unfortunatly this unit has no digital out but from what I understand the transport system is supposed to be first class. The DAC is a CX20152 single channel chip. Does that really make a big difference?
Won't be getting it till next week sometime.
