I had been looking for a set of vintage Sony ECR-500 headphones and recently won a pair at auction. Actually, I have one each ECR-500 and ECR-400 headphones and a pair of ECR-500 energizer boxes. These took forever to arrive from Iceland, mostly because they spent a bit over two weeks in Chicago customs. These look cosmetically great. Functionally, I had low expectations, which was rewarded when I plugged these in last night. The volume is extraordinarily low for both sets of headphones attached to both energizer boxes.
Unfortunately, the only thing available at HiFi Engine is basic instruction manuals. I am hoping that someone might have service manuals or other tips for bringing these headphones back to functionality. I appreciate any help!
