Sony PS 6750 - how good is it?

I might have a chance to get a Sony PS 6750. The seller is asking three Benjamins for it. How good is it compared to my Sony PS-X65 and Denon DP 59L?
Is it worth sleeping in the couch for at least a night if my wife finds out I did not run it by her?

Don't own one but from what I've read it's an excellent deck. Google is your friend ;)

Good enough to be a backup to the Denon DP-59L. :naughty:

Do an AK Google search forums, should be numerous posts re the PS-6750, table was getting close to the top of the Sony line, like 3-4 down at most.

It was actually Sony’s second-best integrated turntable, sitting one step down from PS-8750 which was the flagship of Sony’s consumer lineup.

Best deck I have ever owned and set up right beats the pants off the Scottish turntable.

I'm a big fan of the PS-6750 but it's not a step up on the PS-X65 IMHO, even if you can haggle the seller down to two Benjamins, a Rupert and a box of owls.

PS-6750 is from 75 #2 in the line
PS-X6 probably replaced it in 77
PS-X60 probably replaced the 7 in 79 and the PS-X65 I haven't learned about, yet.
PS-X600 probably replace the 60 in 81

all are good tables, better performance the later you go is probably expected but there are a lot of #2 tables from the mid-70s that are all their owns need as they are fine units. This is probably the case with this table.

I really like the PS-X7 I gave to my brother and have here visiting. There are probably better tables in all the lines listed above and there are the special tables, the PS-X9 and PS-B80.
