Sony PS-LX350H?

I'm new to this vinyl stuff and wanted to get into it, so I was looking around my local CL for some TTs. I found a Sony PS-LX350H TT for $80 and about 40 mins. away, and I was wondering if it is a good deal.
Here's a pic from the seller:

As you can see, it's in great condition. But, there's some questions I have (please excuse the noobiness of them; I've never owned a turntable, sadly (didn't grow up in that era)):
Does it have vibration reduction?
Is the tonearm made of metal?
What is the whole body made of?

I can't find any of the answers to these on the web.
It looks like it has a half-inch mount cartridge; but I'm not completely sure.

So, would this be a good starter turntable for the money?

(Oh, P.S., before you say I should go check thrift stores, please read this: all the TTs at the thrift stores near me are junk. Scratched up, don't work, overpriced and covered with dirt. Seriously).

Anything more than free is really too much for that Sony. Definitely not in the same class as Sony's gear of a few years earlier. Totally plastic. Loose, sloppy tonearm , and some of the worst W&F numbers published on a modern turntable (0.25 -ouch!)
I see it's a bit of a sellers market in your area, but this Technics looks ok for the price,assuming the aoto functions work. And it will need a flip of the 'ol upside down dustcover, lol

I just checked out the specs on Vinyl Engine. You're right. Wow & flutter at .25 is very high. Typically a decent turntable should have a wow & flutter off closer to .025. S/N isn't very good either.

Tough call. The Technics uses a somewhat non standard headshell, appears to have no antiskate, and apparently (per owner's manual) has very limited range of vertical tracking force (1.25gr +/- .25). Many cartridges require more than this range allows. It appears that the Sony has a better and more flexible tonearm.
Just my two cents
 
What about an ADC LT 60G for $25 34 mins. away? Or, probably even better, a Pioneer PL-200 (no stylus) for $60? Or a Hitachi HT-1 with Audio Technica needle for $65?

I just saw a Technics SL-B3 with a new belt and Sure cartridge for $95... I think it's the best one on CL right now. Here's the guy's description:

Yes, I noticed the W&F was a bit high as well, but the pictures from the seller do show it's in great physical and fully working condition... and I would have to drive for about 30 mins. or more for the others, but this TT is about 10-15 minutes away :)
 
If I were you, I'd buy the Pioneer PL-200 that Balifly linked. Install a new AT-95e, and you'll be good to go.

I keep a PL-200 as a spare and it is rock solid...

P.S... 0.45% W%F is not a high number

Ok, thanks! But the AT-95e is out of my price range; will the Audio Technica CN5625AL work?
