Picked up a nice Sony PS-LX500 linear tracker. Got all arm & play functions going fine. Except the arm cue. It plunks it down like a rock. Anyone know a fix for this? Service manual was not much help. Or is this how it is?

This is a Pmount 'table? If so make sure the cartridge is the standard T4P weight of 6 Grams. Some of the DJ Pmount cartridges weigh considerably more to fake up the extra VTF that is required. I had a Stanton L680EL on my Technics SL-M3 and it dropped like a rock. The cueing is much slower with a cartridge within T4P specs. Just a thought........

It's a P-mount Stanton D71EE, which according to the vinylengine cart database is 6g.
