Sony SS-7600 Speakers?

Hi Everyone,

I picked up a set of Sony SS-7600 speakers from an estate sale for $175. I know they are rated for 100 Watts of pink noise, but what about music?

Also, the mid-range drivers appear to be shot, I can't get sound out them, connecting to either the full range ports or the mid-range ports on the back of the speaker. I noticed that I can equalize the hole away, and they sound pretty awesome anyway.

Anyone have more information on these speakers, and/or how I can fix the mid-ranges?

Seems like a lot of money for those but I don't know anything about them so I could be wrong. Pull the mids and check them with a meter to see the ohm reading.
