Sony SS-U251AV Info Needed

I keep coming across models of speakers I just can't find any information online on lately.

The latest is a pair of Sony SS-U251AV 3-way tower speakers, 37 1/2" high, 1 3/4" tweet, 3 1/2" mid, and 10" sub, rated at 270w.

I picked them up at the local thrift for $12.50, but they both need (desperately) the sub's re-foamed, but otherwise in very good shape.

Anyone have any experience with these, or have any knowledge of? I can find the SS-U251 model rated at 200w online, usually around $50 a pair, but the UV models I have I haven't seen anywhere.

Please tell me they're worth the $30 I already spent on the re-foam kits!

Party speakers, don't expect sound quality! 12.50 is not bad for them, 30 for the kit so for 40 bucks you will have they good to go!

They will be okay, but don't expect much quality sound as much as quantity. Like vintageboy say, great for parties.
