Sony SS-U55 speakers specs?

It's been 40 yrs since I was heavy into audio

Bought a used set over the weekend and was wondering how much power from my amp these could take.

I've got a
Sony STR DH550 5.2 Channel 4K AV Receiver that I use for an amp and it has 725W (145 W x 7 at 6 ohms)

I have removed the subwoofer and just have these two front speakers and a center speaker. And have it set to 3.0. on the amp for output - does this mean I'm sending 200+ through each of the three speakers now?

Since these speakers are "vintage" I wondered how much head room they had. They are in excellent condition.

Apparently the speakers are rated for 80W. That said, the amplifier power is maximum, and depends on the volume control setting. Just keep the volume reasonable and everything will be ok.

Sure, you could measure it, but you will hear the speaker distorting too if it's over powered. Radio shack used to sell accessory power meters, or you could rig up a volt meter and do the math.
