First time poster here! Just pulled this receiver in excellent condition from my parents basement. Hoping somebody can offer some advice on the best way to connect the phono ground wire.

The turntable ground wire has a standard spade connector, however the Sony has a pushpin phono ground terminal. Any recommendations besides clipping the spade and using bare wire? pics attached

Get a 3/4" long brass screw, and a nut. Secure the spade connector between the head of the screw, and the nut, then put the remainder of the screw into the connector on the Sony.

Thanks for the quick replies. Yes, one side of the spade will fit in the hole although it does look kinda funky.

You could also use either of the 2 screws next to the button. Any chassis screw will do as a ground, and it won't look "funky" to the nosy people. :D
