I DO NOT WANT TO BLOW UP MY NEWLY ACQUIRED STR-7055 SONY AS I AM A NOVICE TECH DABBLER.....DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I HAVE TO REMOVE THE FRONT PLATE ASSEMBLY AND KNOBS TO REPLACE THE TUNING NEEDLE LIGHT...OR IF IT CAN BE DONE FROM INSIDE BY REMOVING THE TUNING NEEDLE TRANSPORT PLATE... OR MAYBE EVEN SIMPLY JUST REMOVE THE NEEDLE BRACKET WHERE THE BULB IS MOUNTED...?...ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.....THANK YOU OKMAN.

Unplug the unit.. You'll have to open the cover.. Appears that the bulb is accessible from the rear.

I am not familiar with that particular unit but sometimes, certain brands will have their meter bulbs connected to the selector switch. Example, my Pioneer receiver will have the AM/FM tuning meter bulb turn off when not selected on radio
