Sony str-v4 glass replacement

Has anyone ever tried to replace the glass on a Sony STR-v4 receiver? If I can't find the OEM part, could I just get one cut at a glass store? TY.

Yes. Just be sure you have exact measurements. L x W x D (thickness).

"Exact" being the key word. Having to grind down the eage of a piece of glass is a pain. Ask me how I know.

That's why down here a glass store will ask to take the measurements by themselves, they usually don't trust your measurements.

Smart. Even though I made my own measurements, they were right. The glass shop cut one piece about 1/16" to long. They told me that was as close as they could get. I took the rest of that glass order to another shop.
