Sony TA-N80ES power amp - turns on but no sound

Hi,

My Sony TA-N80ES power amp turns on, comes out of protection, lights are on but no sound.. Tried to clean and spray all pots/switches but still no sound. Please let me know where to look first. I have downloaded the service manual but not sure where to start.

Is the balanced/unbalanced selection switch set correctly to the corresponding input that you use ?

Use unbalanced inputs, which eliminates the possibility of a faulty balanced input amp section.
Do not use BTL mode; feed stereo input to L/R unbalanced inputs to investigate if the problem is the same for both channels.

However, when put in BTL mode (mono), then only the left channel serves as an input.

Then is the problem the same for both channels?
