Hello everyone,
I have an SONY TAN-5550 power amp. I use it with my laptop, it works very well. It is almost quite and no noise in my speakers. The problem happened when i bought a Sony TA-E1000ESD preamp yesterday. When i connected the power amp with the preamp, there is little audible noise from from the speakers. The problem still happend when i turn the preamp off. But when i unplug the power jack from the preamp, the problem is disappeared, the speakers become quite
. The same problem did not happend when i connect the pre amp with another power amp, there was no noise in the speakers in this situation.
SONY TAN-5550 power amp and Sony TA-E1000ESD preamp are not optimal with each other?
Please give some solution or advice!
Thanks a lot

The "D" in ESD stands for digital. There might be a control to disable the digital and video circuits. I'd try that if you can find it.
