Sony Walkman TCS-430 - Buzzing sound

Hey all, any help would be appreciated.

So I found my wife's old Walkman and it's in great shape. I opened it up because the belt was totally disintegrated into black goo. Replaced that no problem but after putting it all back together, I'm getting a buzzing sound on the built in speaker as well as on headphones. I took the back cover off and if I touch the motor spindle, it changes the buzz a little. And if I mess with the speed control, it changes the buzz as well. When the tape is paused, there is no buzz. So basically I've determined it's coming from the motor. On the back cover I found a little piece of copper tape that was loose. I saw on a thread about a DC-6 that there's a spot that needs to touch on the back cover for grounding, otherwise you get buzzing.

Does anyone know if that is correct? Does anyone know where this copper piece should be? Thank you!
