sorry - diode substitutes ?

I apologize for this. I am not vey good at finding substitutes for diodes so unless I can find a cross reference etc, I get lost.
If you are bored and have the time, I am looking for replacements for the following diodes

zener diode - HZS5C1 -td
The datasheet for it is HERE

HZS9A - also zener diode. Datasheet HERE

and this one I am really confused on. The service manual has it listed as a Zener diode but when I look at a datasheet it is a general use rectifier diode.

DSM1D2 - the datasheet for it is here

It is a Denon POA2800 amp and the denon part number is 2760548910
It comes up on encompass parts and says a "type 3" diode".

I am not sure if it an error in the service manual or.....?

is where I usually go but I get confused on the diodes. I end up sort of randomly going trhru all of the datasheets trying to match them up. usually all I can start with is the forward voltage......and there are a lot of diodes.

I obviously do not know much about diodes. I have been trying to match everything like the IF(av), I2T etc, and of course on say Mouser those specs aren't in the selection charts....
I actually have wondered about that because when I find replacements suggested for say the 1s2076 everyone says the 1N4148. So I compare datasheets and there are obviously some big differences........
as I know little about a diode except it's function, I am not sure what specs are important.....and I would rather ask then drop in the wrong one after dropping a fair amount of money on caps etc.....

I use AK google search alot..
Some outstanding techs on here have already done the leg work.

1S2076 for instance..

avionic - yes, is what I do. I normally search high and low for quite some time before asking as I know it can be a pain looking up this type of info for someone else.
What I really need to do is spend some time and learn more about diodes. If I had not seen the 1N4148 mentioned as a substitute for the 1S2076, I never would have picked it out myself. Just seems there is a lot more leeway on a diode then the other components as far as matching characteristics.
