Sound Dynamics Thread 2026

Itd be nice to get a new Sound Dynamics thread going as it's been awhile it seems since anyone's talked about them. I think I found the only pair for sale in mint condition that anyone was crazy enough to sell.I just picked up a pair of Sound Dynamics 6S and am wondering if anyone has heard a pair?? I should have them by Friday. I'm thinking they may image pretty good with the waveguide and 6" woofer. The cabinets are also built like bricks I've heard. Might have to add some rocwool. Just curious to hear your thoughts of the spun aluminum horns. They are fully functional and were just freshly refoamed. All original. Not sure about internal parts I know they only have a cap on the tweeter so no true crossover if I'm correct? I think I read the woofer was made to roll off into the tweeter. Just how EPI made their stuff. The drivers were literally made.for one another and they sound like it. I'm hoping their at least as good as my little EPI M60's. Should blow them away volume wise but that burhoe tweeter is special. I hoping this SD horn is just as unique. Right now my Jamo c603 are hooked up so these Sound Dynamics better be good to be next in the rotation. One note to also make is I'll be running them with 2 RSL Speedwoofer 10's.

I have owned various SD speakes in the past. The SD6 speakers are very cool looking and fun to play with. Its been a couple decades but if I remember they did play loud for a bookshelf. Not alot of bass. I felt they could have sounded better im sure if you could play around with their simple crossover.

Does anybody have information on the Sound Dynamic tweeters with 5DR53085 930403 printed on the back? These are in my Fabulous Tweeter Brothers (FTB) book shelf speakers. That sound great which I’m sure has a lot to do with the tweeters.
