Sound quality of JBL 82t versus JBL 630t

Doubt I'll get a response on this, but I've had a set of JBL 82ts that because I've had since Xmas of like 1988, I demoed various unknown amps on them. Figured they wouldn't be a loss if something blew up, etc. Well, instead I've noticed how well these speakers mate with all kinda of various vintage receivers, amps, and preamps.... My question is, how would one rate the sound of the 82t versus the 630t someone one the iffy eBay sells the 630t completely NOS... I'm tempted to get them so badly based on the sound of my 82t speakers,.... Can anyone, especially JBL afficionados help me out here. My 82ts pair perfectly with my marantz 2238....and I'm thinking of getting the 630t set run via external proton 1200d amp. Would this be a great decision or just an idiotic impulse buy.

Neither look to be outstanding JBL offerings, so you may be splitting hairs on journeyman speakers. If you are getting a good deal, but them and sell the set you don't favor??? I bought some 82Ts once and found them fine, but not outstanding, and the 630Ts could be quite similar.
