Soundcraftsman vs carver

I own a carver Tfm 25 and just got a soundcraftsman a5002 amp....any opinion on which is superior sound wise. I'm driving a pair of super high efficient EV Intervace D speakers so power is not a real concern. I also have 2 Carver tfm15 amps....these speakers have dual biding posts for the woofer and mid/tweeter separately.....any suggestions on optimum sound configurations are appreciated! Currently using a Carver pre amp. Thanks for the input!

The Carvers are fine sounding amplifiers.

But, if i had a healthy A5002 and a pair of D's, i'd be on the hunt for a preamp. IMO, Carver didn't mass produce a preamp that will reveal all that amplifier and speaker combination is capable of.

Just my .02.......................

Boy, that's a tough choice. I have a lot of respect for both amps. For build quality the Soundcraftsmen has the edge, it's built like a tank. I think they both sound great, though.

I had a tfm45 but still have a 5002. Both are great sounding amps. My 5002 stayed because of it's superior build quality. Something about the carver's transformer turn on buzz that never set too well with me.
