I have had a few amps with burned or damaged driver boards, so I decided to make some new ones. I also plan to make output boards to retrofit everything in the MA5002 wire-wrap rats-nest. The first version is basically a remake of the originals, with component and trace placement in the same general position. Only with the top layer to also carry the higher current traces along with the bottom copper layer, and eliminate the one jumper. I still have to go and make sure the mounting and connector position is correct, and check for errors and position the screen print labels and make it look nice. And also finish adding the 3d parts. I have a couple of MTX H5002 amps that need boards. They use an updated terminal compared to Soundcraftsmen. Which is also what I will use, since the original bottom entry terminals are no longer available.
The next version of the boards, I plan to place things where I want them, I will try to keep input and low power signals away from the high current and voltage areas. Soundcraftsmen had things all over the board. The version after that may get different input circuit designs, such a complimentary mirror image input section.
