Soundcraftsmen RP-2201-R

Hello,
I've found a Soundcraftsmen RP-2201-R equalizer for sale, and I was wondering if anybody has any info/opinions on the unit. I've done some checking, but it seems that most of the information (as well as models on eBay) on Soundcraftsmen equalizers deal with models like the 2212 and 2217. Anybody know what would be a fair price for this? The owner does have the original instructional test LP with the unit. Thanks!

These were all basically the same units. The 2217 was an equalizer preamp. As for value, they 2217 can be bought for about $50 - $100 depending on condition. The thing to look for on these is the smoothness of the sliders as the grease tends to harden and it is a pain to clean, but not iimpossible. Not sure if anyone has a solution as to replacing the grease though.

Soundcraftsman made 1 of th best active equalizers and they were far better than the BSR units, etc. and were used in recording studios.
