Soundcraftsmen Vari-Portional Audio Buffer

Just had a Soundcraftsmen RA7502 amp restored with new output transistors. A week into listening to it the "vari-portional audio buffer" light turned on. I understand the purpose of this feature but it's only lighting up on the left channel. Any explanation would be appreciated.

Swap your inputs around and verify its not the pre-amp or source.

Look over your work. Its so darn easy with these amplifiers to break wire wrap connections.Could just be a broken wire on the Vari-p LED.

Sounds like a darlington transistor for the vari-portional circuit is shorted. Those lights only come on if the output transistors get powered above the low voltage rails. And it looks like only on the positive rail. So probably transistor Q29. Could be other shorts with the light circuit itself.
