Soundstream T1 Find

Found this tuner on my local CL for free! cosmetically it's not too bad, couple of minor scratches here and there.He got rid of it because it doesn't power up.I checked the main fuse and it's intact,so there must be an open circuit somewhere in the power supply:scratch2:I also read that soundstream's venture into home audio really never took off,so i'm assuming this unit or any of there home system lineup must be pretty rare nowadays.So, what do you guys think? Is it worth saving?

Yes, worth saving. Pretty rare but a better than average digital tuner for sure.

FYI: Those power transformers look like standard distributor stock items. They're probably good, but if not, then your luck hasn't completely run out.

It's alive!Mike, you were close!One of the legs on the primary side of one the transformers snapped off probably due to rough handling.:thumbsdn:Now it's time to hook it up and hear how it sounds.:yes:
