Has anyone ever taken their McIntosh amps/preamps to George Meyer AV (Los Angeles) for service? They are listed on the McIntosh website as an authorized service provider. Was wondering what your experience was…

I have a MC240 power amp and a C26 preamp that I would like to take for a complete evaluation and service/re-cap, and would prefer not to pack them up and send them across the country to Audio Classics.

I take my gear to HiFi Haven in Whittier. Not super quick but these guys have been in the Business since longer than I’ve been alive - and I’m eligible to draw SSI. I trust Tim Tandberg implicitly with my gear, most of which I bought from his dad years ago. Open Sats for limited hours and the rest of the week by appointment.
 
Thanks! I just recently heard about this place on this board a few days ago; and I grew up in Whittier! But I didn’t have any McIntosh gear when I was youth.
