Hi guys, I'm pretty new to the hobby but I've had a lot of fun finding deals and fixing up stuff. Recently I came across a seller clearing some speakers out. One of which were these Marantz SP-1275s. A quick search brought up practically nothing except an old OfferUp listing. They're in extremely rough shape, the foam has deteriorated to the point where gently caressing it causes it to disentigrate into a fine powder. Not to mention it's covered in dust and spiderwebs with who knows what living inside it. These were kept outdoors under a lean-to, so they've definitely seen better days, see photos for how I found them in the listing. I just wanted to see what information I can find regarding these, as I really can't find much on my own, trust me I've tried. Maybe I'm just bad at investigating, but any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to fix them up as my weekend project. However I'd like to know if they're actually worth fixing in case the project goes way deeper than I expected. I'd rather not waste months on a set of speakers that simply aren't worth the effort when I have other speakers to work on.
