Speaker cable identification, help please

I got a pair of these at a garage sale, with no identification. I've written to Kimber cable asking for help identifying these but haven't received a response in several days.
Four red striped to one lug and the 4 green to the other.

Anyone know what these are with certainty?

That looks like electrical tape wrapped around the spades, too, so I second this assessment.

Not Kimber, so you probably will not get an answer from them. Looks DIY, like some type of cat 5 with out a jacket.

its either cat 5 or cat 6 wire. works great for interconnects as well. one cable in sheath is how i tried it. for both left and right channels...from preout to main in.

Its interesting that even though the strands in the speaker cable look like they came from cat5, it would have taken 4 cat5 cables to make the pictured speakers cable (because of the color coding).

Just out of curiosity, is the partner made with just solid coloured strands rather than striped?

The other cable wires are identical. It does appear to be electrical tape on the spade lugs.
I have not seen Kimber cable in person, but knew approx. what they looked like. The spade lugs are incredibly thick so it was some effort and expense to make them. I haven't had a chance to do a side by side comparison with other cables yet, but on first listen, they sound OK.
Thanks for all the replies. I'm a little surprised someone would put the effort into these, but maybe original buyer paid a fair amount. I paid $5.

The contact surfaces look pretty pitted. If you paid $5 , sell them for $7 and run.
