speaker destruction game?

I hope speaker destruction is not becoming a new game/fad. There seems to be several videos on youtube. It looks dangerous not to mention very wasteful. Some of the speakers are junk, but I saw a similar video the other day and they were blowing up Energy speakers. Anybody notice an increase in speaker destruction videos or has this been going on for a while? I restore vintage speakers as a hobby, so it stings seeing such destruction.:thumbsdn:

just a few attached, there are many more

I have seen these. These people are idiots. They will learn when they burn down their house. One day that electrical breaker is not going to function like it should! :nono:

Speakers are meant to be entertaining. I can't think of anything more entertaining to do with some Fisher Studio Standards than destroy them...

AC or DC?

I had a set of Moss Audio speakers way back when that had a nice indicator for when you were feeding them too much power. The tweets would burst into flames.
