Found some good matereial to for speaker gaskets. Pics are from my WIP realistic boxes of vintage 80's ported converted to acoustic suspension. Orig. woofs were measuring about 4.5 ohms and too light for my amps (though the mids come through fine.) Hit my local vintage speaker store and found these puppies to compliment my dayton titanium tweets. The cabs are pretty gone for wear in the fascia composite so I needed new gastket material to seal without glue. As you can see the frames are cast and easily mounted.. lol.. just got em in and had to move the mid and tweets. talking some cutting but the results are great... this is a good air tight seal and allows you to adjust a 'flimsy speaker frame' into tuning the coil.
Woofs are 10 inch from some HK monster set of speakers where the customer never picked them up after repair. Excellent rubber seal job even though these were sitting on the shelf for years. What the heck.. I can't get the covers on unless I trim their frames but sure sounds darn good on all my amps.
