Speaker help please

I am in a quandary. I have a diverse bunch of amplifiers and speakers and am not sure how to configure the system. First off, the physical space I have is a 15x20 room with deep pile carpet on the floor, a bookcase on the wall opposite the speakers, a large flat screen TV between the speakers.

The amplifiers in question are a HK 330 B and a NAD 7140.

Speakers are 2 Synergistics S32, 2 Original large Advents with Masonite ringed speakers, two Large Advents with replacement metal basket speakers, two Optimus T 110, 2 Boston Acoustics A 40, and (finally) 4 Prodigy Titans.

The questions are:
1. Which amplifier to use
2. Which speakers to use
3. What configuration of speaker placement, stacking, use together, etc to use.

The Synergistics are great sounding speakers but I can't find any information about them. The Advents and everything else are not in use at this time.

Any help, ideas, whatever would be appreciated.

NAD generally sounds good and this one has twice the power of the HK. I'd probably use it and power the two pair of Advents, stacked, top inverted, jumpered + to + and - to - providing a 4Ω load to the amp. Put this stack on a ~10" stand and enjoy a true high quality sounding speaker system while you sell off the rest and look for a nice bigger amp if you need that extra volume. I'd use the 330B and the S32s in a separate system. If it has to be the same room, maybe even run a tape out from one unit to the tape in on the other and play em all at the same time to see what mixing and matching can do.

But that stacked advent choice stands out as the go to system with your list of gear.
 
I don't think the t-110s will make the cut at the end of the day. Don't know the replacement drivers in the Advents, some times not good results.
Was not impressed with the S32s and don't know the Titans. So.................
I will suggest you run the masonite OLAs and A 40s on each side of the tv for about a week as a base line.
Then change out one pair at a time until the obvious comes to the top.
I think one pair of Advents will carry the room and the very good A 40s will do the rest.
Love to know what you settle on.

Yep, them Advents will drain that nice 330
 
I read the two replacement metal basket speakers on the advents as the newer woofer style with a metal basket, not the masonite woofer. Same sound, tweeter also went from masonite to metal backing plate what was more flush mounted than sitting proud of the soundboard. Of course, pictures would help us determine if this is true.

Still nothing you have will compare to stacked advents.

Certainly can't go wrong with the double Advent setup.
I do think the diversity of the OLAs with the A40s wide to the outside of them is worth a try.
True the A40s are light on bass but the known OLAs have it to spare.
I'm banking that NAD will really bring it, even without two pair of Advents.
Picture of the other Advent coming?

Keep the advice coming. I don't have any of the manuals, so all the info has been more than enlightening.
This is my first foray into using the forum here and it has been more than what was expected.

Using the Advents doubled up was very popular. They were used in a vertical configuration with the top speaker mounted upside down so that the tweeters stayed close together. It was said that the combo was greater than the sum of its parts. It resulted in a 4 ohm load. Good luck!
 
I had been considering that. The Advents with the newer woofers are currently being refoamed. Any problem with doing the same with the Synergistics, also 8 ohm, while the foam job is completed?
 
Evidently no problem. DAYAM, this is a nice setup. The Synergistics stacked up side down on top of the Advents sound superb. Thanks for the feedback and advice. The NAD pushes the stack without difficulty. It sounds great.
