I picked up a set of vintage speakers from a junk store.......these were good units in their day.....2 way with a 10" woofer.......Label says Model No 730

Back of the woofer is stamped 700 over the lettering DGD7

Baskets are an odd black pressed metal.

Fabrication looks to be late 1960s early 1970s

Can any one ID them???
Thanks

Pretty generic looking 2-way; looks like a typical 'house brand' speaker that the midsized hifi chain stores would bundle with 'systems' to help their margins in the 1970s. Tweeter appears to be a CTS phenolic ring driver (not a bad thing at all). The woofer resembles the AlNiCo magnet CTS woofers of the early to mid 1970s... but the basket isn't quite right.

Single capacitor in the crossover, or is there an inductor, too?

For reference, a couple of other, similar speakers. The first two are from a Tech HiFi catalog, e.g.

Stereo Warehouse (San Luis Obispo, CA) sold "Creative Labs" speakers, and Stereo Discounters (Timonium, MD) sold "Synergistics" speakers.

There were many other, very similar, semi-off-brand speakers in those halcyon days. Some were quite decent sounding (though some were rather less so).

The drivers are decent quality. The woofers look like they were sourced from Amperex and the phenolic ring tweeter from CTS. Both were commonly used drivers back in the mid 1970's in many brands of speakers and sound quite good with a proper crossover network and decent cabinet tuning.

Thanks

OK......I think e are narrowing these down. The most distinctive feature is the two bright metals strips running vertically down each side....the grills are jet black and I should have posted a picture with them on......regardless they should be a trigger to someone.......I have owned literally hundreds of stereo speaker and I have not seen any others with this look.
