Found these for $80! Anyone recognize these? Look well built, drivers look decent. Worth $80?

Infinity vibe, but jogs no id. I would go with DIY or repurposed. After infinity came out with then, the clear woofers were popular in a lot of me too type speakers. Also, KLH had some.

Cabinet details are too good for a DIY. The shiny screw heads make me thing someone just swapped in another tweeter/woofer. Probably existing screw holes underneath for the original drivers.

Tweeter is similar to ones Infinity used in the 1500 model but those weren't ported, they had an 8 inch woofer with the blunt nose dust cap.
Based on scale (assuming that is a 3/4" or 1" tweeter), that may be an 8 or 10" woofer. Infinity 12" had those large cloth dust caps but I believe their smaller clear poly woofers had smaller dust caps.

Acoustic Response (white van or store brand) had a clear poly cone woofer similar to Infinity's, but I think those were 12" as well.

What? You should see my Dad's DIY. Everything from a second story on the house to cutting boards with furniture, guitars, and aquarium stands in between. All of it way better than 90% of what you can buy.

LOL, well, for a master craftsman, I am sure there is better. But if a master craftsman like your father were to do them, I doubt he would be satisfied with a flat black backside or front like these speakers. Obvious commercial cost cutting measures.

They look just like Snell type J's but the spacing between woofer and tweeter look off??

Tweeter looks like a typical Audax 1” soft dome or plastic dome, circa 1975-88 which could fit in with a polypropylene woofer and foam surround. Because of lack of markings, my bet would be a Midwestern DIY or Kit speaker like from Madisound, Audio Concepts, Meniscus, or the like. Could be very nice once refoamed and proper redo of the crossover. Not a super first rate TOTL but probably fine for a second, third, or garage system, or a nice pair for a starter system. Decent price but figure another $25 for surrounds.

Homer buys foam in bulk! More like less than 5.00.. No rick cobb needed unless refoaming Bostons or JBL's
