Speaker internal acoustics

I am currently restoring a pair of cerwin Vega 317p. I have the box gutted(was staining box, crossover sent to be restored, etc) and the original internal acoustic was house insulation with thin foam padding nailed behind it. It was removed and now wonder what’s recommended to replace it with. Didn’t really remember to get pictures of the previous material. Any advice is much appreciated and any questions I’ll try my best to get to.

So you think that and nothing else would be a good pick? Like I said the previous stuff was that dense fiberglass house insulation. So it’d kind of act the same as that then? Just wantin to make sure and double check. I guess I should’ve mentioned that I’m trying to sort of reduce the tweeter highs while still retaining the bass from the woofer.

Edit-yea, actually I think I’ll give that try. It is a cheap option and I have some lying around in another speaker currently.

The insulation slows air movement and makes the box appear larger to the driver.
Different types and amounts may affect how much but all have that effect.
So pretty much use what you want but make sure it can’t possibly touch the drivers

I like lining everything with Sonic Barrier and leave the back of the front baffle nude.
