Speaker makes funny sound when lifted

Just an old fart trying to help.
The piece in the top left of that picture sure looks like part of a zip tie.
The round piece to the right looks more like some sort of plastic stand off and I have no idea on the piece in the center unless maybe a part of an inductor top or bottom protector piece.
If it's a clunky thuddy sound inside I still think part of the crossover has come loose.
If it's a shhh shhh sound inside probably more plastic pieces.

This is probably the situation. The sender had packed in original B&W boxes and I don't think he is at fault at all. He claims the speakers were sound when sent.
So:
1. The speakers sound fine.
2. I don't think I want to return them.
3. It is a clunk thuddy sound inside, so I have a crossover that needs to be re-attached....probably.
4. I am willing to open them up, but I am a newbie at repairs. I was proud to put a new woofer and tweeter in my PT PC-80's recently. I would rather have a pro handle this great speaker. How much will this cost in San Francisco?

The Devil made me do it.
At this point since the crossovers are working ok and the noise only occurs when the speaker is moved, I wouldn't worry about it. Yes, it's a good idea to open it up and secure the crossover assembly, but it can wait until you feel comfortable doing so.

Yup, looks like hot glue and a zip tie. Your clunk is the inductor for sure. Can see the lines from the wire wrap in the hot glue.
The cost would be a screwdriver, a hot glue gun, and a pack of zip ties.
Take the screwdriver and remove the binding plate. The rest should be self-explanitory.

I have no answer about costs to fix, but I'd just open the speaker up and have a look. May be as simple as some hot glue or another zip tie.
I would check the woofer cone for signs of damage, though. Plastic bits rattling around could have poked a hole from the back.

Thank you my AK comrades. You have been truly helpful and polite to a guy who has been using quality audio equipment and speakers for many years but doesn't tend to make DIY repairs.
So, here's my thoughts on my B&W 685's, that I bought "mint" on Ebay for four bills:
Nice clarity (David Sanborne's sax comes through nicely), great depth of sound and imaging, very natural stereo sound with each speaker assuming a role in the whole picture, balanced bass (neither sharp and tight nor diffuse, very pleasing with the Talking Heads). A single speaker sounds fine! With one speaker you can't even tell where the sound is coming from...On the whole, I would say this is much better than some used CM-1's I bought recently.
At the moment powered by a Dayton 60wpc cheapie amp. Also used with my vintage Rotel 60wpc Integrated Amp and my 50wpc vintage Denon receiver. Hard to say which was best...maybe my ears are not that sophisticated as the Dayton sounds pretty good!
