Since my experience with the 430 twin I'm interested in hearing other low wattage HK's and trying to pair them with symbiotic speakers. Recently an HK 450 came up in my area for a VERY reasonable price, in excellent condition. From what I see here the looks are polarizing, with most thinking it's an ugly duck, but I'm always amazed what my kids (and my wife) find "cool" or attractive, and how it differs from the general consensus of the "established hi-fi community." I guess I'm saying, for the sake of this discussion, I'm certainly more interested in the sound quality rather than the aesthetics, which by the way, I think are interesting having a campfire kinda glow in dim lighting.
With that out of the way, does anyone have experience with this receiver? Any thoughts on speakers you've used and liked, or opinions based on specs what might pair well. I'm fairly committed to staying vintage with a preference for similar aged gear, but open to any suggestions.

Power output: 30 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz
Speaker load impedance: 4Ω to 16Ω
