Empty, how?

Empty like... dust bunnies are living in the corners. I'm gonna need a woofer a tweeter and a crossover, one for each box of course. Empty like... I almost turned these into fancy CD holders.

Yep, post up some dimensions of the cabinet (height, width, depth, wood thickness, size of holes for woofer and tweeter) and we can get down to brass tacks here...

Regards,
Gordon.

Indignias?... I have no idea what that is. You guys are gonna have to school me on that one. The boxes are 14" highx9" wide, and 8" deep... a little over 1/2" thick plywood, not sure what kind of wood. The woofer seems to be 6" the tweeter...maybe 1 1/2"
I'm not looking for the highest end audio stuff or the most expensive, just something that sounds good and won't break the bank. I'm not really sure where to buy alot of this stuff either. I checked out Simply Speakers for a start... looks like good stuff. Also, I'm a little concerned about picking out a crossover, I imagine it could get pretty complicated if I let it. :scratch2:

Cheapskate woofers but good sound

I recently purchased some 6.5" paper cone woofers with butyl surrounds for $19.95 each on ebay... seller has complete specifications, they sound very nice, of course more can be spent elsewhere, just giving you a heads up. They made a nice upgrade for some in-wall speakers I purchased that had a very nice linaeum type tweeters but a sub par woofer and mismatched efficiency. They acquitted themselves very well... Synergy Sound & Vision I believe was the seller. Good luck!:music:

Look at the Indignia thread that was posted earlier. That's exactly what you're looking for.

+1 for Indignias. Your requirements are perfectly filled by the Indignias. Check out the thread. It will tell you exactly what they are.
