Speaker Spikes for DIY stands

So, I just finished building my speaker stands. I had some spikes that came with my BA VR-970 speakers and would like to use similar (if not exactly the same) spikes for my new DIY stands. They are 1/4 in diameter and I have the grommets that i want to use for my stands. Does anyone know where I can get these?

Pics are of the spikes and grommets. If anyone has any better ideas about different spikes to use (that aren't cost prohibitive) please let me know.

Don't they typically raise the stand by 1.5"? With the spikes that I have (granted I don't have the quantity that I need), I can screw them in as far as I want.

They sell the kind you mentioned also. I think they are something like $12 for a set of four.
