Hey everybody. Hopefully this is the right forum to ask this. But I just recently set up Klipsch Quintet V system in my living room with a Denon receiver. While configuring the speaker settings I noticed that one of the speakers (Left Surround) was a lot quieter and kinda had a hissing/static noise to it. I had tested all the speakers to make sure they all worked correctly prior to installing them, but I just chalked it up to being blown. Well now I noticed while listening to the system that the Left surround is working correctly now and that the Right surround is now quiet and has the static. Would anyone know why the issue would correct itself and move to a different speaker?

+1. Was the gear all sitting unused for a long time?
I checked all the connections and none of them were loose. And you can’t really hear it from seating position but the speaker is noticeably quieter especially if I’m using multi channel stereo. I know it’s not connection related since the speaker that has the issue now, was working fine before when the other speaker had the issue.
I’m not sure if it was. It very well could be.

Might be exactly wrong, but I'd just run it the way it is for a while. Could be a lot of stuff. If it goes away with heat and returns again from overnight-cold restart, it might be solder joint. If it goes away with time (and doesn't come back on from start next day), maybe a cap reforming. If there's DC coming out, that's another thing and you don't want to run like that at all. Might be none of that. Depends how much you care and what you want to do. Better yet, ask people who know. Please keep us posted if you feel like it.
