Speakerlab Seven restoration

The woofers are done too, $120 + $20 shipping! We can hear them finally!!!

Whoa! The woofers are done! Thats great!

But, we won't get to hear them until when Clayton (iflopdanutz) brings them up here when he comes to the DIY meet.

And also, thanks Clayton for bringing the last pieces of the Super Sevens!

It is best to ship them back here... I think it is important to be able to install them before the meet so that we can tweak them all we want.

Okay, I was gonna get mad, but just ship them up here okay.

I just ran across a pair of 7's for 50 bucks. I passes. I guess I should call him back and buy them. They are well worth that price don't you think? I have never heard them but the EV tweets are worth that alone. Damn I wished I picked them up, they are 35 miles away.

Not all speakerlab sevens have EV T350s, in fact most have T35s which are no where near as valuable.

But 7's for $50 is a good deal nonetheless. DO IT. Use this thread as a restoration guide.

I saw one of the tweets as it was loose from the cabinet. It looks as it might have also been glued in. It had a square magnet on the back. I thought it looked like a CTS or Klipsch style. Did the 350 have a square magnet?

Klipsch K-77s had square magnets, those are supposed to be equal to the T35.

The 350 has a LARGE cylinder magnet, and they are each about 7 or 8 pounds.

So Laith has decided that he doesn't care about this project at all, so I'll be taking it over and using all of the money.

EDIT: sorry for the anger

I just noticed, Laith hasnt logged in for two days now! Are we sure he's ok?

He has not contacted me since Friday. At this point I doubt it is negligence but I sure hope he is OK.

Perhaps his mother came into town and he has been busy, but still, a courtesy call or post would have been expected since he is normally very cordial...

Well in other news I have ordered the tweeters and allocated the funds for the veneer, which we still have yet to receive.
