Very nice.

Hurry up, get them put together!

Then throw on one of the Beatles Re-Mastered CDs, and see if they pass the audition.

Blue is one of the original colors that Speakerlab used on the Super Sevens, I think it fits very nicely and wouldn't change it though. It would be cool to have 7 pairs of grills, one color for every day of the week.

The only issue is that I don't own any of them!

You are welcome to come down and listen if you don't make it to the DIY fest.

I'm not on AK for two days and you guys decide to get these going... :D

Can't wait to see em all zipped up. Remember, they will need some break in time after they are all put back together, so don't form any impressions till they have some hours on them...

I hope I can finish them before the day of the meet so I can play them and have them not sound like **** when I show em off.

All right, Mr. Type A - I seriously doubt these will sound like shite. They will sound excellent and will only get better as they break in.

So explain to me the purpose of the lead - mass?

Cabinet damping. Its kind of optional but its not too expensive or hard to do.

You may wish for L-Pads as those particular horns can be on the loud side! I have used them on several occasions and always used L-Pads to get the balance just right.

If in fact you can get them balanced then more power to you!. The flexability that the L-Pad had worked great in differant room setting as well. These horns have their critics- but can be made to sound quite good despite being small. I like the 1824M driver with the 8HD lens.

PS GREAT WORK done on them!!!

Thanks!

Yeah, when I ordered replacement resistors for the tweeters I had planned on them being EV t350s... they were always on the mellow side when set to the middle L-pad value (the value I bypassed too)

Binding posts went in today, The tweeters and mids are installed and I just need to get crimp spades for the woofers and solder in the wires to the binding posts and I'm done!

Then they are coming home for extensive testing.

Hey guy's Great job !!!!! I've been gone for a while and I am impressed with the progress.
Wish I could be there on the 26th to hear them, keep up the good work !!!!!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been very busy. They are not done yet, I didn't get much work done on them last night but today I got more banana plugs for the 8 gauge wire I'll be using iwth them, as well as 6 FREE speaker spikes from Definitive Audio (conveniently located on the same block as Speakerlab, Magnolia Hifi, and Hawthrone stereo!) as well as 16 bronze screws that look super cool as well as other misc. mounting hardware.

OH also I picked up some howard's feed n wax.
