Speakerlabs: what is a rosewood Clearseal finish?

Hi All, I am getting a pair of late S7 Speakerlabs ( being shipped next week) and am not sure of what finish is on them. Its either Oak or what SL called rosewood clearseal.

Is the clearseal just a fancy word for vinyl or does that mean the speakers are rosewood with a varnish?

looking at the photo I have no idea what the finish is.

I can't tell from that picture. But the room looks familiar for some reason. Was this taken at Hawthorne in Seattle?
 
It means that the speakers are free from blemishes due to the presence of minoxidil.

Thanks! I guess if it's not oak it's vinyl even though it's still not clear if the last s7s were available with vinyl ?
 
I am pretty sure mine are not vinyl

a scratch in the top of one of them looks like real wood to me

no clear coat of any kind

I am often wrong :D


the room those are in sure looks nice
