Speakers dilemma: Yamaha NS-670 or Diatone DS-900EX?

Hi guys. I'm new here, being this my first post.

I live in Lima, Peru (South America) and I'm starting my first audio system. In such sense, call me an amateur (by now). I mostly hear blues, pop, rock , and some jazz (depending on my mood).

I've been sailing through the endless discussions and advices in AK. Undestandably, most (maybe all) of them are focused in the US, which is good because I have quite a complete panorama of most brands and models available there (from both American and international sources). However (and painfully) here in my country there is very limited availability of equipment.

Being said that, I'll really appreciate your advice about which speakers to buy (found in local retailers):

- Yamaha NS-670
- Diatone DS-900EX

Sellers claim the speakers are in good (mint) condition. Definitely I'll test them by myself, but a little advice from you guys is gonna be very much appreciated.

Regards.

Those are both very nice speakers from Japanese manufactures, so I think either choice would be good. Can you listen before you buy? That would help you figure out which ones are sound better to you.

I prefer the Yamaha speakers - they were well made and sound great. I have 2 pairs of Yamaha speakers which I use very often out of the 6 pairs I have in my collection. The only other speaker I use often is the JBL L100. Listen to both but you can get the Yamaha with confidence as it comes from the era of HI Fi when quality was important and Yamaha took speaker [production serious;y in their in-house facilities. Before they out sourced to Malaysia, Vietnam and China
