Speakers for Nakamichi Receiver 3

Hi there everyone – newbie here!
Please could anyone advice me on some speakers to match this setup:

Nakamichi Receiver 3 + Nakamichi DR-8 Cassette Deck​

I am looking for something simple that would just do justice to the gear (I am aware the gear itself isn't much), some floor standing speakers or bookshelf type would be great.

Also, please forgive my ignorance, could anyone clarify what should I be looking at in terms of ohm matching?
I've done research on it (including http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=52557) but remain utterly confused. :stupid:
If I get a pair of 4Ω speakers that would be just fine (4Ω+4Ω=8Ω) and I can connect them as usual? Or can I/should I consider a pair of 8Ω speaker
For reference from the Amp specs:
The amp's power output: 37 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) .
Speaker load impedance: 4Ω (minimum).

You're kind of hung up on ohms. Personally I would not worry about the speaker's impedance. Instead with 37 watts try to find a pair of speakers that are efficient. Actually forget about the numbers and the specs and buy with your ears. Simply listen.

To confuse you a little and clarify the above statement. :
Two pairs of 8 ohm speakers would give you a 4 ohm load or 8 + 8 = 4. One pair of 8 ohm speakers as in a stereo pair, the ohm rating would be constant because your channels are driven separately (stereo) 8 + 8 = 8 or 4 + 4 = 4

Your clarification of my ohm statement has just finally made it suddenly all clear, at last. I hand't taken into account the channels being driven in parallel (stereo). Thus no longer worried about impedance. Tak!
Focussing now into efficient speakers, any thoughts on what should I be looking at (or what are the options/limitations) with 37 watts per channel?
Should it be of any help, my music collection ranges from blues, folk, noise-rock and ambient.
