Speakers to match the Au-717

I am picking up an AU-717 along with the rack, TU-717 and SC-3330 this saturday. I currently own a newer sansui sack system and find the speakers that came with it to be a bit harsh. Just not full flavored enough for me.

What would be a good set of speakers to hunt for to pair with the AU-717?

My 717 sings thru SP 3500's in the dining room, Polk monitors outside.

JBL L50's, L100's and others. Some ESS AMT1b/c's. Klipsch Forte's & Heresy's.

I recommend NS-1000M, NS-500M, and NS-200M. The AU-717 is a relatively fast and transparent amp and a good match for these revealing speakers.

Smokey, I tried ADS L780's and just did not sound right, tried JBL's and did not like them, then I tried Klipsch Heresy II's ... sounds excellent!! Imaging is very good, just an overall excellent vintage sound. My 2 cents for what it's worth.

Polk Monitor 7's and or SDA 2's but I'm biased and haven't listened to any other speakers on them, well some KHL Model 6's I had for about a week.

I had a pair of Boston Acoustics A-150 connected to mine for a while. I thought they sounded really good. Now I'm trying out a pair of DCM TF-500, I think they sound a little bit better.
