That seller is one of the strangest on ebay. If you look at his feedback comments you'll see that he never actually sells any of the big stuff- only things like knobs, rack adapters, and the occasional under $200 piece of gear. He constantly lists big $$ items at absurd prices. Never shows anything beyond the most basic descriptions-nothing about condition, operational issues, etc. Then he often pulls them within hours or within a day- the listings will just disappear. Then the very same items will be relisted anywhere from a few hours to days or weeks later at far different prices. He'll list the same Marantz button cover 100 times-changing a single digit or punctuation mark in the title in order to avoid ebay's spam filter for BIN listings. He'll list everything in the phono parts section no matter what it is-amp, preamp, speaker, etc. Apparently he doesn't really want to sell any of it- just wants everyone to know how many expensive items he has. Or he has other issues.......

avoid ebay's spam filter for BIN listings

what are you referring to? never heard that before.

ebay has a rule that you cannot post multiple BIN listings for the exact same item. Their software detects this and will normally prevent it-but sellers avoid this by changing, adding, or subtracting a single character in the title.

They aren't dreamers, they are cheaters. The put an outrageous price so the ad shows up first on search, then wait for side offers, skirting eBay fees.

Oh. Like the guy who lists an original, nothing special or rare Pioneer owners manual for $10,000.

But he'll sell you a copy for $5.

Weasel.

Edit: Out of curiosity, I looked at the Pioneer listings as I was going by memory from 6 months ago or so.
Yep, weasel is still at it.
Raised the price though.
