Anybody heard of the Spectrosonic 210-4? I saw one today so I tried researching it but to no avail. I know they were a house brand of Pacific Stereo and it appeared to have been manufactured by Nikko but does anybody have the specs or any other insight?

Reviving an old thread, but one of these has come into my life, gratis. Only one light is working. I'll power it up and see what happens. I'm not sure if it will work, there's pre out/main in jacks on the back panel (see pic), but no jumpers. The layout of the jacks makes me think that either they need RCA cables or there might be a switch I'm not seeing... Any info would be helpful. Will test tomorrow morning, too busy enjoying holiday music this evening through the main rig to stop and fool with wires.IMG_6856.JPGIMG_6857.JPG

Wow I've been listening to this 210-4 and I have nothing negative to say about it. It is surprisingly clean and clear. I'm using the Phono and Aux inputs, auxiliary with a bluetooth receiver to phone. It's pushing Sansui SP-3005s. It sounds very good with all tone controls flat and loudness off at low volumes. Turning it up LOUD generates some distortion. Loudness switch on gives it more bass than necessary and not clean bass, either. But with everything flat in stereo mode I have to say I am entirely impressed. I can crank the volume with no signal and there is only very tiny hiss in the speakers. I have no jumpers connecting the "pre out" or "main in" connections in the back; I'm not certain how that works. But I can say this Nikko-built Spectrosonic receiver has made me interested in the Nikko brand, big time.
