Just got a pair of Spendor a5's - really nice !
I'm looking for options on screw in footings I'd rather not use the spikes they came with.
Looking for something that will help slide speakers into position & back after session
When I was using stands I had found nice screw in metal feet (round smooth)
These were perfect to slide on my carpet.
The spendors have a larger thread guessing it's metric as well .
Anyone know the size of thread

I must say these a5's are really pleasant / honest sounding. Nice pairing with my
Rogue Cronos Mag & Thorens TD 145. Finally

Take the spikes to a hardware store and match up the threads. I know you can do that at any Home Depot. But any hard ware store can be used. Then you can find a threaded foot for the speaker

YUP Have one in my pocket to do just that ..

Was wondering if anything is preferred for replacement

Hey Good luck with your new Spendors.
Carriage bolts, with their rounded heads, will protect your floor.
Get 'jam nuts' and flat washers also.
Home Depot has all types of rubber feet. Round disks for under furniture might help sliding them.
Happy listening!
Jimmy
