Spotify Problems Lately?

I've had Spotify since the beginning. Used it on a Windows machine for years and it was practically flawless that whole time.

A few months ago I went to using a Bluesound Node 2i with Android to control it. It worked good, not great but I'm not that picky.

In the last couple weeks it has really been acting up and is almost to the point of being unusable. I mean.....I just don't have that kind of patience.

Other services through the Node 2i seem to work fine. Anybody else been having issues with Spotify lately?

Thanks!

Perhaps you could run it on your PC to determine if the problem is the Node, or elsewhere.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. In the meantime I've been listening to the Bluos app exclusively using the presets. Having all my playlists stored to the Bluos presets and being able to change them with the Bluesound remote is pretty damn slick.

I've always been using the Tidal and Spotify mobile apps til now. I got rid of Tidal (and Qobuz) and Spotify is all screwed up lately so I decided to give this a try. I almost don't even miss not having the Spotify moblie app since I have so much music tied up in playlists.

The presets also allow you to use them for Radio Paradise stations. Very cool.

I'm not familiar with the function of the presets. Are you talking about Spotify playlists?

I've been using Amazon HD, and have not found a way to create playlists with it when using the Node. I like Spotify best for its features and functionality, but sound quality is not satisfying to me. Looking forward to trying its lossless service. I've tried Tidal, did not like it. Trialing Qobuz now...seems pretty good so far.
