I'm sure we'll have some messes up here, but with this record snowfall, it seems to me that folks in the Ohio and Mississippi basins are going to be facing very serious flooding issues in a few months. Hopefully, this warm spot we have coming up will drain off some of the melt gradually, but any prolonged warm spell could prove disastrous. Hopefully, some of the water will replenish the levels in the Great Lakes, but there's a ton of snow in the Upper Midwest that has to go somewhere.
What do you folks near the waterways see or hear about plans to deal with this almost certain heavy spring flooding???
