SRD-4 and the USE of Extension Cable

I have an opportunity to pick up a 5 mt. Stax extension cable. It is a "Pro" cable with a 5 pin male plug and a six pin female receptacle. It is the type with the round cable; not the flat kind. These cables are pretty damned expensive so I have been googling and can get no answer to the question. Will this extension work with my SRD-4 w/SR-30 earspeakers. I read something about bias, but I could not make head nor tails of the discussions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I had one with a SRD-4/SR-30 combo, worked fine. The electret phones just ignore the bias pins.

The old round ones are often the only affordable alternative for an extension, if you can find one.
