SS first timer diving in. Setting idle bias and DC off set in Luxman L450

The amp is a Luxman L450. My first SS newbie question is will a low idle bias setting cause poor sound. The idle was set at 26mV on both channels and the service manual calls for 33mV. Now it's set to the 33mV and the highs seem clearer and with a better stage but I really won't know for sure how much better till it comes in from the garage bench into the main system. At the same time the DC offset was adjusted for the factory called for 0 volts. So did the DC offset do the most for the sound(it wasn't that far off) or was it the idle bias.

The Elna RFS SILMIC II caps are on the way so the total recap will begin soon

The DC offset simply positions the drivers in the speaker off from center. Like putting a AA battery across the speaker terminals it will 'move' the woofer in or out depending on the polarity of the connection. Some of this may go through the crossover and reach the other drivers which is not good either.

So I would think the change in the bias, the idle current, was what made the unit sound better.
